Disappointing result at Westbury
On 20th July, Sherston returned to cricket after boules weekend with a slightly rusty and disappointing loss to Westbury 2s by 8 wickets. A win against Bathford
A trip to Bathford on Saturday, 6th July marked the halfway point in the 2019 season for Sherston Magna. With Captain Kutchera losing the toss it appeared like Sherston could be sent into bat on a wicket that looked like it could cause some trouble however despite being bowled out for 48, and losing by 10 wickets, at the start … Read More
Magna Scorch Spye Park!
Saturday saw the visit of Spye park to Pinkney Park. On a perfect summer day with a flat track and fast outfield on offer, the bowlers of both teams were willing their respective captains to win the toss and bat. Sherston’s J.K duly obliged. What came next, however, was not part of the script, James Harmer, opening alongside Chris Fisk … Read More
Rain rain go away

Sherston Pegged Back
Looking to take their run of wins to three, Sherston travelled through heavy traffic to Hinton Charterhouse’s ground, arriving a little later than was ideal and limiting time for the team’s usual warm up and stretching routine. With a team packed full of athletes at the peak of their respective physical condition, this was going to be a risk and … Read More

This season the team was Purton (who boast some familiar faces in their ranks!) So to … Read More
A Sherston Rout
Sherston Magna registered their 1st league win of the season against a depleted Bathford CC, who only brought 10 players with them on the day. Prior to the toss Bathford’s captain had said they were six top order batters down on last season and truth be told it showed, as the away team struggled to 48 all out after just … Read More
